Affyn’s “Buddies” NFTs jumped to #2 among the top Polygon NFTs on NFT marketplace OpenSea
Affyn, a Singapore-based startup building blockchain-powered mobile games, has announced its “Generation Zero Buddies” (Gen 0) aka “Buddies” NFTs collection sold out in just 100 seconds.
The company said in a Thursday press release that the 400 Gen 0 NFTs have become the first collection to join its NEXUS World metaverse.
Unique NFTs offer inteoperability
Affyn announced that unlike existing NFTs that only come with limited utility, the “Buddies” collection offer interoperability, meaning multiple utility in the metaverse and across blockchain games.
According to Affyn, the Gen 0 NFTs are scarce, with a “Mythical rarity.” The combination of these characteristics meant high demand, pushing the price of each NFT to 2,995 FYN tokens.
Lucaz Lee, founder and CEO of Affyn said in a statement:
“The user participation we experienced during the Gen 0 sale has just been nothing short of overwhelming and encouraging. I sincerely thank the community for their passionate support and trust in us. We cannot wait to unveil what the months ahead will bring.”
Affyn’s NFT move comes amid further growth in the sector, with the integration of the digital collectibles a big development in the play-to-earn economy.
